In this interview, Amparo Hurtado Albir talks about the research projects that she develops. In this sense, she tells us about the importance of developing translational competence for future translators, including their teaching and learning, showing the most frequent studies carried out in Spain and the gaps yet to be explored. The author also offers us an overview of the studies now carried out for the delimitation and standardization of levels of competence in translation. Among other more specific topics, such as the translation of near languages and the relationship between teaching translation and the market, the professor concludes by arguing about the future of translator training courses.
