Interpreting Studies: Contemporary Knowledge, Practices and Challenges
2025-06-25This thematic issue of the Belas Infiéis maintains that interpreting, in its varied modalities and settings, is shaped by issues that require integrated perspectives, in line with sociotechnical changes and the calls for equity and language justice. It's our wish to bring together works that approach interpreting from a myriad of theoretical and methodological perspectives—be they cognitive, discursive, cultural, pedagogical, social or technological. Works on the following topics will be accepted: interpreter performance in conference and community contexts, in crisis settings, in remote environments, and via audiovisual translation technologies (AVT).
"Interpreting Studies: Contemporary Knowledge, Practices and Challenges" will also welcome contributions on interpreter education, the development of professional knowledge, the impacts of public and institutional policies, as well as studies that approach both spoken and signed languages, regardless of language pairs or interpreting modes.

2019-02-15É imprescindível que todos os autores e tradutores efetuem o cadastro no sistema da Revista Belas Infiéis, mesmo em caso de coautoria. O mau preenchimento do cadastro e dos metadados da submissão ocasionam a falta de visibilidade dos texto publicados nos mecanismos de busca e a correta identificação dos autores.
