  It is with great satisfaction that the InSURgência: revista de direitos e movimentos sociais [InSURgência: journal of rights and social movements] publishes the dossier "Judicial power and land conflicts in the countryside and in the city"; organized by Mariana Trotta Dallalana Quintans, Erika Macedo Moreira and Hugo Belarmino de Morais, and with the unprecedented collaboration of the university projects Núcleo de Assessoria Jurídica Universitária Popular (NAJUP) Luiza Mahin of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), with the Interdisciplinar Observatory and Advisory in Territorial Conflicts (OBUNTU) of the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB) and with the Goiano Fundiário Observatory (OFUNGO) of the Federal University of Goiás (UFG).

  It is with great satisfaction that InSURgence: a journal of rights and social movements makes public, in its twentieth issue, the first volume of the dossier “Pachukanis, insurgencies and praxis” (v. 10, n. 2, 2024), organized by Guilherme Cavicchioli Uchimura, Moisés Alves Soares and Ricardo Prestes Pazello. The dossier is the result of a co-production with the Revista Direito e Práxis, in which the second volume will be published in 2024.

  The Editorial Board of the InSURgência: revista de direitos e movimentos sociais [InSURgence: rights and social movements journal] informs that the receipt of submissions to this journal is temporarily suspended, in the period between July 5, 2024 and February 1, 2025*.

  In this period, only submissions directed to the thematic dossiers will be received.

   

   

  * On October 29, 2024 this release was updated to extend the period of suspension of new receipts from November 1, 2024 until February 1, 2025.

Always with the objective of better influencing the context of the struggles of social movements for rights, marked in recent years by the rise of the extreme right in Brazil and in the world.

  Submission conditions

  To send your contribution, simply register on the InSURgencia website. The contribution must be original and unpublished, in addition to not being under review in another journal. Otherwise, it must be justified in "Comments to the editor". The submission file must be in editable format (Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF), without any type of author identification.

  In addition to scientific articles, the Dossier will also receive submissions for the following sections of the journal: Generating themes (section of entries) and Return Notebook (section of text reviews). All submissions must follow the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in “Submissions”.

  Deadline for submission: October 18, 2021.

  O Comitê Editorial da InSURgencia: Revista de Direitos e Movimentos Sociais informa que foi prorrogado até 20 de dezembro de 2019 o prazo para a submissão de artigos para o Dossiê temático "Processo civil & direitos humanos: conflitos e sociedade", edição correspondente ao 1º semestre de 2020 e que tem como previsão de lançamento dia 31/01/2020.

   

  Diversos litígios, conflitos vivenciados por movimentos sociais e seus (as) militantes são vividos também na esfera cível do Poder Judiciário. Por vezes, ações indevidas, visando obstruir determina atuação ou organização popular; outras, anular defensores (as) de direitos de direitos humanos que estejam incomodando determinados segmentos. Mas não só negativamente pode servir o processo civil a consolidação de direitos humanos. A busca por efetivação de direitos nem sempre são resolvidos na esfera política, podendo-se recorrer às instituições do sistema de justiça. São direitos identitários, modificação de registros, discussões sobre posse, demarcações, indenizações, licitações de diversas ordens, reparações cíveis, efetivações de direitos culturais, mediações de conflitos, defesa do meio ambiente, enfim, inúmeras são as matérias que chegam à Justiça, as quais são do interesse dos movimentos sociais e que necessitam do processo civil para a sua consecução. Este, como instrumento, pode ser utilizado para ajudar nas lutas por direitos humanos, bem como atrapalhar. Sendo assim, o espaço deste dossiê servirá para a reflexão crítica sobre o uso do processo civil para a concretização ou violação dos direitos humanos. Está aberto aos olhares diferenciados de pesquisadores (as), operadores (as) do Direito, militantes de direitos humanos e de movimentos sociais, estudantes, dentre outros (as).
