Em Perspectives on Retranslation: Ideology, Paratexts, Methods (2019), as pesquisadoras Özlem Berk Albachten e Åžehnaz Tahir GürçaÄŸlar trazem novas discussões acerca da prática da retradução, a partir de uma perspectiva histórica e cultural. Além de apresentar seu próprio projeto em relação à retradução nas sociedades otomana e turca, as organizadoras da obra trazem contribuições de pesquisadores de diferentes países e estudos de caso dos mais diversos gêneros. Ao longo dos capítulos, os pesquisadores nos convidam a considerar os desdobramentos da prática no mercado editorial, na recepção das obras retraduzidas e até mesmo seu papel na história da tradução com a análise de paratextos e da influência de diferentes ideologias, além da apresentação de novos métodos para a análises de tais retraduções.
