Este artigo descreve o modo como os individuos ingressam nos grupos, bem como a relacao dos grupos corn as organizacoes c as instituicoes sociais. A autora prop6e que a sala de aula seja vista como urn grupo e o professor como seu coordenador e facilitador da aprendizagem. Ressalta ainda a importancia da construcao e apropriacao coletiva de conhecimentos como meio de se viabilizar o crescimento dos individuos e dos grupos.
