Abstract

This study aims to observe the opinions of undergraduate Translation students concerning dictionary use during translation tasks. Students from the early and later stages of the course were selected to check whether changes occurred. Like most research on dictionary use, the study was undertaken by means of a questionnaire. Replies to many questions were virtually identical among two groups but in some a change was observable: more advanced students possess more dictionaries, and appear to consult them more frequently besides being more aware of the limitations than beginners.
