The present article Black women in the world of work: ethnic-racial identity
in professional education presents results of material analysis of research on
professional education, in the course of Logistics and Transportation, with emphasis
on vocational training of young blacks emphasizing their self-esteem and aspects
related to identity issues of gender, race / color and class. Interviews were carried out
and the educational practices for the world of work were investigated, investigating
the work of professionals in education in front of classrooms, emphasizing the issue
of self-esteem and ethnic-racial identity of black women as students of the course.
The selected locus is the CEEP (Center of Education in Professional Education) in
Logistics and Transportation Luiz Pinto de Carvalho, in Salvador-Bahia, the choice
is based on the perception that the training area offered by this center is seen as
a potential for insertion in the world of work. Education and training for work,
historically, present themselves as the most viable path of social promotion and
coping with inequalities. These interviews were conducted based on the guidelines
of the ethics committee of the State University of Bahia - UNEB, whose project was
submitted and approved.
