Agencia como vulnerabilidad: explicando la partida de los niños a las calles de Acra

El artículo considera la agencia de los niños que pasaron a vivir en las calles de Acra, Ghana. El concepto de agencia, poco examinado, ha sido utilizado en los estudios de la infancia para destacar la capacidad para elegir. La literatura sobre niños de la calle y trabajadores, y el área afín de los estudios de migración independientes, se ha ocupado de cuestiones de agencia de los niños significadas por las teorías de la elección racional y la fuerza normativa de la infancia. Ambos enfoques no responden a cuestiones importantes y para superar estas omisiones nos basamos en argumentos socio-realistas, en particular, en el énfasis que le dan a la vulnerabilidad como base de la agencia.
