Vocativos nas legendas em espanhol de Cidade de Deus

Este artigo analisa a tradução de vocativos nas legendas em espanhol do filme Cidade de Deus (2002), com base em uma abordagem intersemiótica da tradução audiovisual. Os vocativos, por carregarem marcas sociopragmáticas fortes, são elementos cruciais na construção das relações de poder e identidade entre os personagens. A pesquisa classifica 108 ocorrências de vocativos quanto à técnica de tradução utilizada (adequada, inadequada, neutralização e omissão) e à dinâmica de poder entre os interlocutores. Os resultados revelam predominância de omissões, especialmente em interações assimétricas, embora na maioria dos casos haja compensação visual ou sonora. A análise sugere que, embora as legendas em espanhol apresentem uma tendência a suavizar expressões culturalmente marcadas, a multimodalidade do cinema permite preservar parcialmente os efeitos pragmáticos originais.
