This review addresses the book O processo da tradução para a dublagem brasileira: teoria e prática, by Dilma Machado. It is an important work for Audiovisual Translation in Brazil. Given the current market of audiovisual products, an alignment between theory and practice has become essential for the Studies of Audiovisual Translation. With a practical orientation, Machado presents Brazilian dubbing through a mix of experience and market reality.
