La formación de traductoras y traductores en la educación de nivel superior

La formación de traductores(as) en el medio académico data de finales del siglo XIX en Argentina, China y Alemania. No obstante, sólo a mediados del siglo XX cobra fuerza la creación de cursos de educación superior en Traducción en los continentes americano y europeo. En Brasil, la formación de traductores(as) en Institutos de Educación Superior (IES) se inició a finales de la década de 1960, gracias a la sanción de la Ley no 5.540, del 28 de noviembre de 1968 (Ley de Directrices y Bases). Casi 50 años después de la sanción de esa ley – y aun si la profesión de traductor/a es reconocida, aunque no reglamentada – contamos, en el territorio brasileño, con diversas carreras de grado orientadas a la formación de traductores(as), en su mayoría de lenguas orales. El interés en investigar sobre la formación de traductores(as) se ha mostrado cada vez más promisor, tanto en Brasil como en el exterior, habida cuenta del aumento progresivo de la cantidad de artículos, eventos y tesis de maestría y doctorado que abordan el tema.
