Abstract

Science Teaching in a general context has an unquestionable democratizing role in the development of the individual as a citizen. The Open University Project (PUA) has its relevance in this context due to its main and democratic action of helping in the professional training of future teachers, through a training didactic laboratory, and in the learning of a society of high social vulnerability. The great motivation of projects like this are the future inspirations that permeate the training of people who have professional choice options for their engagement in the job market. Such a project is justified by its main actions and by the 20 years of its existence, in which each year people that are more vulnerable are inserted in universities made possible by the work developed by these future professionals. The project aims to give public school students the opportunity to have access to a quality pre-university course, improve their knowledge with learning so that it competes on an equal basis with others, and provide future teachers with professional training. For this purpose, we methodologically use a base work with the apprentice teacher who initially accompanies a more experienced teacher colleague through his own commitment and from this moment on he begins to walk alone inside the classroom. Finally, the teacher trained at the end of the period is prepared to show all the professional qualifications in the job market that becomes more challenging every day.
