Abstract

In Romania, researches on the History of Translation, of translations or translators, as well as on its historiography, have barely gone through an early stage, but it does manage to demonstrate the undeniable influence of History on translation activity, a marvelous cultural project historically and sociologically determined.

Author Biography

Georgiana LUNGU-BADEA , Université de l’Ouest de Timisoara

She has a doctoral degree (2003) and a master degree  (1992) in French Literature by the Université de l'Ouest de Timisoara. Full professor at the University of the West of Timisoara, director of the École doctorales en Sciences Humaines et Sociales (Faculté des Lettres, Histoire et Théologie) and visiting professor of the Postgraduate Program in Translation Studies (POSTRAD) at the University of Brasilia.
