This qualitative and quantitative research aimed at analyzing the social representations Physical Education teachers make of the body on their social network Facebook profiles, as well as the influence of the media. The data collection tools of choice were an online questionnaire and the Free Association Technique. The problem targeted translates into the following question: "What is the influence of online social networks, particularly Facebook, on the way Physical Education teachers make social representations of the body?" Results showed that Facebook may influence the way some individuals perceive the body and also that the social representations such teachers make are related to "health".
