O autor apresenta várias sobreposições dos Estudos da Tradução com algumas abordagens e perspectivas sociológicas relacionadas ao objeto de pesquisa e à s ferramentas teóricas empregadas, a saber: os conceitos de norma, desvio, fronteiras simbólicas e os diferentes posicionamentos pós-estruturalistas. A partir da análise desses e de outros elementos, mencionados como ponto de partida, é discutida a possibilidade de levar em consideração a existência de um módulo interdisciplinar.
