Dr. Walter Rodney: the subtracted Angelin in full life vigor

In 1980, the prominent intellectual and political activist dedicated to the struggles, social movements and human rights in the Americas and the Caribbean was the victim of a bomb attack that took his life and deprived humanity of one of the most brilliant historians of his time. For 40 years, his death was silenced. However, since 2020, the Guyana National Assembly has accepted the findings of the commission of inquiry into the assassination, by which it was concluded that the government organized the assassination perpetrated by a serviceman of the Defence Force. We have evidence that Rodney's murder was organized by the State of Guyana. This achievement has triggered a process of restoring the public record on his death, the cultivation of ways to formally honour his life and legacy.
