Abstract
No ensaio Pequena história da fotografia ([1931] 1994), Walter Benjamin nos conta sobre David Octavius Hill — um pintor que, já em 1843, utilizou a fotografia como recurso técnico para produzir um afresco sobre o primeiro sínodo geral da igreja escocesa, fazendo dos clichês de Daguerre guias para a sua pintura. Neste artigo, propomos refletir sobre a fotografia como ferramenta técnica para a escrita de Marília Garcia, concentrando-nos especialmente no poema Parque das Ruínas (2018), incluído em obra de mesmo título. A partir do conceito benjaminiano de inconsciente ótico, objetivamos investigar as motivações, implicações e particularidades de se escrever a partir da fotografia.
