Abstract

Understanding the areas of hospitality seized as a form of spatial and temporal host in the city, in the house or in the lodging facilities can assist in understanding of social exchanges. This study is the result of a survey regarding the areas of hospitality and the representation of the mineiridade at the student republics of the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP). This study aimed to understand the dimensions of the host in the domestic and commercial areas postulates between the “host-resident” and “tourist-guest”. The quantitative method was through the application of a structured questionnaire in a random sampling and non-probability, to tourists who stayed in these republics. The results indicated that dynamic points hospitality exposed in a SWOT analysis. It is concluded that there is this space a hospitable commercial practice, which uses the domestic apparatus of the republican tradition UFOP and mining culture in a social exchange donation.
