Abstract

The aim of this work was to evaluate the mortality of Ascia monuste orseis in cabbage leaves treated by extracts of Dioscorea rotundata and Chenopodium ambrosioides. Disks of cabbage leaves cv. Georgia were sprayed with the extracts and placed in Petri dishes containing hatched caterpillar. Ethanolic extracts of leaves and branches yam caused mortality up to 92.0% at the lowest concentration (1.25%). Aqueous extracts of Chenopodium, at both concentrations tested, caused mortality of 75.0%.
