Dívida externa e gestão educacional: as formas de intervenção do Banco Mundial

Analisa-se como o Banco Mundial transformou a dívida externa dos países num instrumento de dominação e intervenção econômica, que se estende, inclusive, para as políticas sociais. No caso da educação básica, o financiamento de parte dos projetos condiciona alterações institucionais, legislativas e organizativas que imprimem o modelo gerencial racional na escola pública. Aponta-se ainda que a economia de livre mercado tornou-se, em diferentes graus, obstáculo ao desenvolvimento social e à democracia.
