This article aims to contribute to the debate on Artificial Intelligence and its social impacts, seeking to understand the fundamental aspects of how AI works, identify and explain the characteristics of its way of thinking and list the main criticisms it receives. By analyzing the state of the art of machine learning technologies and reflecting on the works of thinkers who have carried out research into the foundations and consequences of this type of technology, the goal is to develop new criticisms that will help to deepen the issues. It is well known that Artificial Intelligence has become increasingly present in various areas of society and this presence has caused astonishment, admiration, curiosity or fear. For this reason, there is a need for research into the nature of this technology, as well as its effects on society. The article lists sixteen different criticisms, separated for methodological reasons, although they are often mixed up. It first looks at the internal limitations of AI before examining the external criticisms. Finally, it highlights the originality of one criticism in particular, regarding the notion of conjecture, indicating the technological perspectives it opens up.
