Abstract
O presente ensaio busca questionar o papel dos contextos testemunhais na arte contemporânea, tomando obras apresentadas na Bienal de Veneza de 2024 e seu entorno. Para tanto, selecionamos obras que optaram por expor a capacidade da arte ser “ouvida” e de “mostrar-se” pelo e no testemunho. Capacidade de retirar o testemunho do paradigma jurídico-positivista, de abri-lo às novas possibilidades de reconhecimento de alteridade, libertando-o do dever de representação e da esfera da refutação. Optamos por uma breve revisão de literatura e pela aproximação crítico-histórica da produção selecionada.
