Associate Professor at the West University of TimiÈ™oara, Romania. Bachelor’s degree in Romanian/English (2000), West University of TimiÈ™oara, Roumania. Master’s degree with specialization “Romanian language in synchrony and diachrony. Controversial issues” (2002), West University of TimiÈ™oara, Romania. PhD in Humanities ”“ Philology (2008), West University of TimiÈ™oara, Romania. Linguist and philologist, whose work’s pillars are observation, proof and reasoning. Author of two books and over fifty articles and reviews concerning the history of the Romanian language, textology, Romanian philology, and diachronic linguistics; author of a critical edition of a 17th century Romanian text; translator of works in the fields of evolutionism, genetics and the philosophy and history of science; member of the Editorial board of Diacronia (www.diacronia.ro); member of German Cognitive Linguistics Association, and of Répertoire des historiens de la traduction, Ottawa.
