The psychophysical dimension of the actor in the Linklater Voice Technique

The actor's vocal work does not begin with the voice itself, but with a dive inside his body, on a psychophysical journey that connects breathing and initial sound to primary impulses. When the voice is finally evoked and the amplified initial sound takes place, the process of releasing the natural voice through the lips, head and spine begins. I intend to address the psychophysical dimension in the Linklater voice technique, taking as a focus, for this communication, the preliminary work developed in the three initial stages of the progression: body awareness; awareness of breathing; and the ringing of sound. The research methodology is guided by theoretical analysis and commented translation.
