The polysemy of concepts and the schizophrenia of method: editorial challenges and strategies

This editorial in issue 16, vol. 8 of PatryTer – Latin American and Caribbean Journal of Geography and Humanities briefly addresses one of the biggest problems faced in the publishing of scientific journals, at this stage in the history of knowledge (and capitalism), which corresponds to the evidence of a kind of “schizophrenia of method”, an episode deeper or more serious than the technical, normative or protocol aspects that are routinely highlighted as challenges of editorial work.
