This editorial of vol. 5, no. 10 of PatryTer – Latin American and Caribbean Magazine of Geography and Humanities recalls the topics to which our magazine is dedicated and its advances aligned with the Latin American Colloquium on Urbanization and Patrimonialization-CLUP. This issue also pays tribute to the academic career of the Brazilian geographer Francisco Capuano Scarlato, from the University of Sao Paulo-USP.
