Tendo por suporte textos e elaborações pictóricas, procura-se a imagem criada no século XVI que melhor traduza correntes de pensamento político, social e espiritual. Cruzam-se produções de uma centúria (das belas-artes e das belas-letras) que visam o esclarecimento de reflexões sobre o teor divino e a capacidade humana no homem, suas técnicas de organização social, suas opções de conduta moral.Confrontam-se artistas com diferente formação e experiência buscando na sua contemporaneidade confluências e dicotomias.
