Palestinian Identity and Universality: a Presentation of the poet Mahmoud Darwish

This text aims to present the Palestinian national poet Mahmoud Darwish, addressing two of his poems that are among the most famous, Identity Card and Speech of the Red Indian, also known as The penultimate speech of the Red Indian to the white man. I intend to show how these poems construct the identity of the Palestinian people and a sense of its universality. In order to do so, the text beggins with a brief presentation on the Palestinian question, centered on the erasure of the Palestinian people by the Zionist ideology.
