Como podemos ser fontistas? Crítica à literalidade na tradução

Considerar a tradução literária como criação levanta, inicialmente, a imemorial questão da literalidade, que opõe fontistas e alvistas. Quando se traduz uma obra literária, o teorema da dicotomia evidencia a escolha a operar entre a superfície etnocultural (e linguística) do texto original e a estética literária que lhe pertence, e no seio da qual o ritmo é um aspecto dentre outros. Contudo, parece que a ênfase demasiada na lacuna intercultural é mais ou menos sobredeterminada por impensados ideológicos. Mas a criatividade literária da tradução é um desafio estético, e não ideológico. Dito isso, a própria ideia de criatividade é tendencialmente aporética embora esteja concretamente presente nas traduções de alta qualidade.
