Centralidade da questão étnico-racial no Núcleo de Estudos Afro-Brasileiro/Neab no Ceará

Abstract

This article aims to present the socio-historical trajectory of
the Laboratory of Studies and Research on Afro-Brazilians, Gender and
Family (Laboratório de Estudos e Pesquisas em Afrobrasilidades, Gênero
e Família (Nuafro) and its contributions as a nucleus of Afro-Brazilian
Studies (Núcleo de Estudos Afro-Brasileiro-Neab) facing racial inequalities
in the State of Ceará. This laboratory, linked to the State University of
Ceará (Uece), develops activities in the teaching, research and extension
axes, focusing on the students of the course of Social Service, establishing
partnerships with various social actors engaged in the fight against racism
and anti-capitalist. This article was structured as a research of a qualitative
nature, of documentary and bibliographic type, with emphasis on theoretical
productions that problematize racism as structuring of social relations in
its manifold manifestations. In conclusion, it was aimed to highlight how
Nuafro actions aimed at combating the financing of ethnic-racial relations
and illustrate the importance of work as a fomenting element of vocational
training and ethnic-racial identity.
