Perspectives of an archival literacy: reflections on the archive, mediation and the user

It presents the concepts of information literacy and literacy and explores the notion of archival literacy. Contextualizes the archive-user relationship from archival mediation, heritage education and archival education. It establishes the differences between the notion of archival literacy and the concept of heritage education. Exploratory article, in which systematic bibliographic research, carried out in databases, served as a foundation for the design of the state of the art around the notion of archival literacy. The results point to an emerging notion of archival literacy, not yet widely explored in Portuguese language, as evidenced by the results of the bibliographic research. It highlights some reflections and perspectives of archival literacy for archives.
