CompoSing conciencia
acercándose a la Somaestética a través de la Voz y el Yoga

Este artículo alinea los principios fundamentales de la somaestética con cuestiones urgentes en el campo de la voz en la música Karnatik, la música del sur de la India. Al hacerlo, analiza los procesos compositivos y de canto desde una perspectiva corporal, entrelazando las filosofías del yoga y la conciencia corporal en el paradigma pragmático del sonido vocalizado y percibido. Al corporalizar la música basada en raga, la autora cuestiona las convenciones establecidas en relación con el movimiento y el gesto en la música Karnatik. Los procesos creativos en la composición y la corporalización del contexto de la composición musical, Sonic River, se analizan junto con posturas yóguicas que se alinean con el contorno melódico de la composición y relatos de experiencias vividas como anotaciones en el diario. Un análisis crítico de estos informantes produce un marco de cuatro frentes para ayudar a comprender el papel crucial de la conciencia corporal para lograr e inspirar una expresión artística libre y plena, particularmente en el contexto de la voz.
