The actors need extreme body control to be able to make a variety of vocal compositions, eventually in heavy loudness, with no harm at all to his voice. This study concerns an experience report with three Theater students performing screaming oriented vocal emissions. Those were acoustically analyzed based on the relation of the amplitude difference between the first and the second harmonic (H1-H2) and the adduction level of the vocal folds. Results lead to the conclusion that higher intensity values referred to the first harmonic cause less risks to vocal health. Specific guidelines for the scenic practice of the scream are offered by the authors, based on body-vocal care and exercises.
