Author Biographies

Diego Lindoso, PhD in Sustainable Development, Professor, Centre for Sustainable Development, University of Brasília, Brasilia, DF, Brazil

Diego is a biologist with a Master’s and PhD in Sustainable Development from the University of Brasília (UnB), and a Master’s in Science and Technology of Water Resources from the University of Girona (Spain). He is currently an associate professor at the Center for Sustainable Development. Since 2008, he has conducted research on the human dimension of climate change, with a focus on the relationship between vulnerability, impacts, climate adaptation, and sustainability.

Alexandre Strapasson, PhD in Environmental Research, Professor, Centre for Sustainable Development, University of Brasília, Brasilia, DF, Brazil

Alexandre Strapasson is a Senior Lecturer at the Center for Sustainable Development (CDS) at the University of Brasília (UnB) and an IPCC Coordinating Lead Author (CLA) of the Chapter on the Integration and Interactions across Sectors and Systems in the Seventh Assessment Report (AR7/WG-III/Ch14). He works on climate change, energy transition, and global dynamics. He is a Permanent Faculty Member in the Postgraduate Program in Sustainable Development, Coordinator of the Earth Futures Laboratory, and a CNPq Fellow. He is also an Honorary Lecturer at Imperial College London and was previously affiliated with the Belfer Center at Harvard University. Alexandre was also Head of the Department of Bioenergy
(and Deputy Secretary) at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply (MAPA) and a UNDP Consultant on Energy and Climate at the Ministry of the Environment (MMA). He holds a Ph.D. from Imperial College, with a postdoc in Sustainability Science at Harvard University.
