Family farmers state: Agroecological transition increases the amount of water

Since 1 993, farming families in Araponga, Minas Gerais, Brazil, started intercropping coffee and pastures with trees. The management of agroecological transition contributed to the recovery and conservation of water; increases in the amount of water in springs and table levels was observed in all properties as well as the resurgence of springs.
