A agroecologia e os serviços ecossistêmicos no contexto latino americano: uma revisão sistemática

Resumo

Este estudo apresenta os resultados de uma revisão sistemática da produção bibliográfica sobre agroecologia e agroecossistemas sustentáveis, com foco na garantia da segurança alimentar e na manutenção de serviços ecossistêmicos na América Latina. Foram analisados 26 artigos presentes na base de dados Scopus que enfocam práticas agroecológicas e serviços ecossistêmicos. Os resultados revelaram um crescente interesse pelo tema agroecologia, principalmente, no Brasil. Os temas abordados nos artigos englobaram segurança alimentar frente as mudanças climáticas, conservação da biodiversidade e manejo sustentável da terra. Conclui-se que os agroecossistemas sustentáveis desempenham um papel crucial na manutenção nas funções e serviços dos ecossistemas, contribuindo assim para alcançar as metas dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável estabelecidos pela ONU na Agenda 2030.
