Abstract

The arrowleaf clover is an important perennial winter forage, with high yields potential in relation to seeds and good nutritional quality forage, becoming an excellent alternative for diversified farming systems. The objective was to evaluate the dry matter and seed yield of arrowleaf plants in various cropping systems, deployed in seven production units in Arroio Grande, Rio Grande do Sul State, BR. Number of inflorescences per plant and per area and thousand seeds weight were evaluated from plot samples. Arrowleaf clover shows good yields of dry matter and high nutritional quality, even in low fertility soils using organic fertilizer and rock phosphate supply. It The cropping system affects quality and quantity of forage and the yield components, but it does not affect the phenological characteristics of plants.
