Profit of the grass elephant with organic fertilizing for use in broiler litter

Abstract

With the objective to use the grass elephant as raw material for bed of aviaries of chickens of cut, this work carried out in the Centre of Sciences Agroveterinárias valued the productivity of the grass elephant var. cameron subjected to different doses of organic fertilizing. The used manure was a bed of aviary of chickens of cut and the quantities calculated to supplying the equivalent to 0, 100, 200, 300, 400 kg of N/hectare in seven repetitions following a randomized design. Each piece (flowerbed) presented an area of 9 m2. The analysis determined of 2,51 % of N in the bed. In the planting 50 was added in each piece kg/ha of P2O5 in the form of supertriple and 50 kg/ha of N in the beginning. After one proceeded the already introduced grass a cut to homogenize the pieces to a height of 0,75 m when correspondent is adding the quantity of N to each treatment. With the already grown grass the cut of the grass was done to a height of 0,80 m to determine the quantity of green/hectare matter (kg). The results indicated that 240 kg of N given rise of bed of aviary it is the correct dose in order that elephant obtains sufficient production of grass aiming at his use like bed of aviary.
