This editorial of vol. 6, no. 11 of PatryTer – Latin American and Caribbean Journal of Geography and Humanities recalls the topics to which our research group CNPq (Cities and Heritage in Latin America and the Caribbean, together with the Postgraduate in Geography of the University of Brasilia) is dedicated, responsible for PatryTer's edition. This issue also pays tribute to the academic career of Argentine geographer Roberto Bustos Cara, from the Universidad Nacional del Sur-UNS, Bahía Blanca, Argentina.
