This article aims to debate the concept of the national market through information from industrial and commercial companies published by the Lloyd’s Company in 1913. This information allows us to consider that the integration of regional markets had already been established during the late 19th century, living with slavery and the growth of urban centers. Company Industrial São Joanense will be characterized by the asymmetric regional conditions that the construction of the national market created, concentrating the capital market in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
