This article introduces a small theory contribution to urbanism, based on Louis Whirth’s vision (1938) that exalts it as a way of life. This paper is a provocation towards the lector: how many hours in a life does he spend visiting the traditional historic patrimony and how many using banal spaces, during all the life when out of home? It results an urgent valuation necessity of ambiences socially appropriated by citizens through many kinds of unions there where they live: ethnic fairs, common life histories, health care, etc. whose environment disappears if precaution against urban renewal are not taken. The city loses it soul in urbanizing madness.
