About the Journal

Paranoá is a scientific journal maintained by the Graduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism at the University of Brasília. Paranoá publishes new and original research papers within a multidisciplinary scope of the different academic areas of Architecture and Urbanism, organized in the three sections: Project and Planning; Theory, History and Critique; Technology, Environment and Sustainability. In this sense, Paranoá is open to contributions from national and international academic community, not being restricted to architects and urban planners, but including engineers, designers, geographers, economists, sociologists and other specialists who work at the different scales of the city and the building.

Paranoá accepts texts in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

Paranoá does not charge fees on submission, processing and availability of articles.

A equipe editorial da Paranoá tem o prazer de anunciar a sua mais recente edição, Volume 18 (2025), publicando resultados de pesquisas científicas dentro de um escopo multidisciplinar das diferentes disciplinas acadêmicas da Arquitetura e Urbanismo, aqui organizadas nas três seções: i) Projeto e Planejamento; ii) Teoria, História e Crítica; e iii) Tecnologia, Ambiente e Sustentabilidade.

A missão da Paranoá é promover a divulgação de trabalhos inéditos, incentivando o avanço do conhecimento científico e tecnológico. Publicada em um único volume anual na modalidade de fluxo contínuo, a revista é direcionada a pesquisadores, docentes, estudantes de pós-graduação e profissionais da área.

A Paranoá aceita submissões de manuscritos em português, inglês e espanhol, nas seguintes categorias: i) Pesquisa Original; ii) Estudo de Caso; ii) Revisão de Literatura; iii) Resenha; iv) Tradução; e v) Entrevista.

O periódico está classificado no Qualis Periódicos da Capes (2017-2020) como A3 e segue rigorosos padrões éticos, alinhados às diretrizes do Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

The Paranoá editorial team is pleased to announce its latest issue, Volume 18 (2025), publishing scientific research within a multidisciplinary scope of the different academic disciplines of Architecture and Urbanism, here organized into three sections: i) Design and Planning; ii) Theory, History and Criticism; and iii) Technology, Environment and Sustainability.

Paranoá's mission is to promote the dissemination of unpublished works, encouraging the advancement of scientific and technological knowledge. Published in a single annual volume in a continuous flow format, the journal is aimed at researchers, professors, graduate students and professionals in the field.

Paranoá accepts manuscript submissions in Portuguese, English and Spanish, in the following categories: i) Original Research; ii) Case Study; ii) Literature Review; iii) Book Review; iv) Translation; and v) Interview.

The journal is classified in the Capes Qualis Periódicos (2017-2020) as A3 and follows strict ethical standards, in line with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
