In this work, Sofia Pashukanis reviews some diplomatic documents related to the elaboration and negotiation of the terms assumed by the Peace of Paris of 1856, which ended the Crimean War (1853-1856) between the Russian Empire and the coalition formed by the Ottoman Empire with France, England and the Kingdom of Sardinia. There is a discussion about the specific negotiation terms that were addressed over time, but also a political-materialist evaluation of the consequences of this treaty for the radicalization of the peasant movement and for the internal political crisis that would plague Tsarism in the second half of the 19th century.
