Daqui da Zona Oeste: Correspondências além muros entre dois artistas visuais no subúrbio carioca

Abstract
A Zona Oeste é a maior sub-região do município do Rio de Janeiro, cuja violência colonial sepultou inúmeras memórias. Os vestígios, rastros e vivências são resgatados por dois artistas-pesquisadores oriundos desse território ao decidirem elaborar uma contra-narrativa, ativando a correspondência digital enquanto mediadora de poéticas que tem como efeito o tensionamento da história oficial da cidade. Entre os meses de junho de 2024 e janeiro de 2025, foram trocadas correspondências que utilizam da escrita como forma de registro e ressignificação das experiências de identidade, diáspora e pertencimento. Entre a oralidade e a formalidade epistolar, os autores refletem sobre ausências, encontros e a materialidade da linguagem, propondo a correspondência como um gesto político e poético de conexão entre si e seus territórios de origem.
