Urbanização, sexo e solidão:
uma abordagem empírica
Resumo
Foi objetivo desta pesquisa estudara influência do sexo e dataxa de urbanização da cidade residencial sobre o sentimento desolidão. No Estudo 1, foram selecionadas quatro cidades do Nordestecom diferentes taxas de urbanização. A Escala UCLA de Solidão foiadministrada a 400 estudantes universitários, de ambos os sexos, comidade média de 23 anos e 2 meses (D.P. =4,07). A Andeva 2x4 nãorevelou nenhum efeito significativo. O Estudo 2 investigou a possívelespecificidade destes resultados para o Nordeste. Com este fim, foramincluídas na pesquisa mais duas cidades, com alta taxa de urbanização,e situadas em outras regiões do país. Os resultados de Andeva 2x6foram também não significativos. Os resultados são explicados emtermos das características da vida universitária.
