O Estereótipo De Universitários A Respeito Do Índio Brasileiro
Resumo
RESUMO - Foi objetivo da presente pesquisa estudar o conteúdo do estereótipo a respeito do índio brasileiro. A amostra foi composta de 582 estudantes universitários de ambos sexos. O levantamento do estereótipo foi feito através da técnica de associação de palavras, sendo "índio" a palavra-estímulo. A fim de estabelecer a probabilidade de atribuição de cada palavra-resposta, foi solicitado aos sujeitos para indicara porcentagem de índios e de brasileiros por eles caracterizados através dos atributos fornecidos. Os resultados revelaram um estereótipo composto quase exclusivamente por símbolos externos ao índio e parcialmente influenciado pelo sexo dos sujeitos.
