Public policies in event tourism: law instruments supporting the development of the sector

Abstract

This paper is related to an exploratory documentary research, based on laws as sources of analysis, it was done aiming at understanding how the event sector has been fomented through public policies which are sustained by instrumental laws that became the bases to actions associated to the development of the event tourism. It was possible to notice that by the time the tourism has been getting regulated, at the same time the actions turned to event development were equally obtaining space through policies and instrumental laws in national level. Meanwhile, yet the non existence of evaluate methodologies was observed in order to measure the results obtained by those policies and its instrumental laws.
