The study aimed to evaluate the initial phase of plant regeneration promoted by manual planting of seeds in muvuca stretch of Permanent Preservation Area degraded, Campo Verde, MT. There was the planting of 19 native species and an annual non-invasive exotic (Cajanus cajan), distributed in four treatments (T1-native species seeds larger than 1.5 cm; T2 - less than 1.5 cm seed both with range C.cajanon the edges of the planting units; T3 and T4 - without separation by seed size, with C. cajan with T3 and T4 on the edge without this kind). It was determined the emergence and survival of plants. Data were subjected to analysis of variance. Native species used seven did not germinate. The species that showed the best results were Enterolobium contortisiliquum, Dipteryx alata and Sterculia chicha. The use of C.cajan showed no influence on the values of emergence and survival of native species in T3 and T4. The different behavior between species is producing information that will subsidize plans reclamation.
