Conceptions and agroecological initiatives in the state of Sergipe

Arises in the world demand a new way of thinking of a systemic approach to rural development as proposed Agroecology. For this, it is necessary agroecological transition driven by the construction of agroecological knowledge. This study aimed to identify initiatives to build agroecological knowledge that are developed by various public agencies and nongovernmental organizations in rural areas in the state of Sergipe. Were investigated data through interviews, consultations, access to publications, as well as participation in events. Was diagnosed the absence of a performance with a systemic compromised with the development of agroecosystems and a closer relationship between the organizations of education, research and extension that helps in the construction of Agroecology in the state. It is concluded that in Sergipe the process of agroecological transition is still starting, since the size and scope that have beens ubsequent work found in this state.
