Fisheries and aquaculture: multidisciplinary management actions to seek socioeconomic and environment improvements

This present work had as objective accomplish an analysis of the fishing and aquaculture in themunicipal district of Conceição of Barra, north coast of the Espírito Santo state, and to proposemultidisciplinary management actions. It was detected that the problems that lead to the decadence ofthe local fishing activity were, mainly, the predatory fishing, the destruction of the ecosystems and thelack of planning, organization and training in the activity. Starting from that, actions were proposedseeking to the elaboration of projects that allow to join value to the fishing resources and to motivate andto stimulate the sustainable aquaculture of family base.
